This is just a small testimonial to describe the positive outcome of my treatment.

I am an Acrobatic dancer and teacher. I have been an acrobatic dancer for 17 years and an acrobatics teacher for 8 years. After my injuries and experience, I have taught my students the correct strengthening methods and I am proud to say that we have not had an injury in 8 years that I have been teaching.

I, on the other hand, was not so lucky and over the years have had quite a few injuries.

In 2005 at the age of 12, I injured my back when one of my fellow dancers collided with me, while I was in a contortion trick, after that my back has never been the same. I could still do acrobatics, but not like I was able to. In 2009 at the age of 16, I tore my ligaments in my foot which caused an imbalance in my hip, causing even more problems and pain in my back. In May 2015 at the age of 22, I was in a car accident, not realising I injured my back even more, as I was already so used to being in pain and in June/July 2015 I danced Acrobatics South African Championships, where even though still achieving first place, I was in such pain, and I realised the injury sustained over the years…

I have been going for treatments from July 2015 to May 2018 twice a week, that later became once a month, where I would feel better for a few days, but then have to go back over and over, and after 3 years of treatment I was still not able to do any of my acrobatic tricks.

I started coming to Ryno van den Berg in May 2018, after realising that the treatment I was getting was not working. Since May 2018 I have felt such a difference.

After 5 sessions I no longer had the numbing pressure of lower back pain, after 10 sessions my lower back pain had almost completely disappeared, and after 15 sessions where we are now, I am able to do an acrobatic trick involving my back. It might not have been a contortion trick, where I place my bum on my head, but it was a trick that I have not been able to do comfortably and painless in 3 years.

I know we still have a long way to go, but I am so positive and thankful, for how far we have already came in such a short period of time.

Thank you so much, Ryno, words can’t describe how I feel, thank you for all the help and support, for pushing me, and motivating me. You have no idea what it means to know that now there is a way for me not only to teach my students my passion but to know that one of these days, I will also be able to Acrobatics again.

Kind Regards
