I am Lehandra Smit, born and raised in Kathu, Northern Cape. In 2020, I began my academic journey at North-West University in Potchefstroom, where I pursued my passion for human movement sciences.
My athletic background includes participation in hockey, netball, cricket, and tennis throughout my school years. For the past 13 years, I have been dedicated to dance, achieving international recognition and completing various dance examinations. I am currently working towards my degree in dance education, which has deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of human movement and anatomy. My fascination with anatomy stems from a desire to understand how the body functions and how to optimize movement for performance and health. A thorough understanding of human anatomy enhances the ability to teach, coach, and support individuals in their fitness journeys.
In addition to my studies, I have assisted with hockey coaching at Potchefstroom Gymnasium and contributed to strength and conditioning programs at the gym. In 2023, I graduated with my Honours in Human Movement Sciences with Sport Coaching. I am a registered Kinderkineticist with SAPIK and have completed Level 2 training in anthropometry through ISAK.
I am passionate about staying active and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. I believe that mindset is key to success. I strive to motivate individuals and celebrate their achievements by employing a positive approach. My goal is to foster a love for sport and fitness by making exercise enjoyable and engaging. I prioritize recognizing each person's progress and tailoring goals to meet their unique needs.
