What is a Stretch Therapist?
South African Stretch Therapists are trained by StretchingSA and are franchise owners of a very new and exciting business in the health and wellness industry. They are experts in injury, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport, health and fitness.
What do I need to bring?
Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history scans / MRI reports and a list of medication if applicable. You may wish to bring shorts and a t-shirt. Never forget your positive mentality and desire to overcome your physical problems too!
How many visits will I need?
Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, and other factors. Anything between 3 weeks to 2 months (or 3 to 12 sessions). After a thorough assessment, the stretch therapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.
What should I wear to my appointment?
You should wear comfortable and stretchable clothes, or even a pair of shorts is appropriate.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, stretch therapists can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However, it is advisable to have a thorough diagnosis by a doctor.
